Financial Management Skills That Actually Stick
Most people know they should budget better. They've tried apps, read articles, maybe even bought a book. But here's the thing — knowing what to do and actually doing it are completely different. Our programme bridges that gap with practical training designed for real Australians dealing with real expenses.
Next intake: September 2025
What You'll Learn Over 12 Weeks
We've worked with hundreds of Aussies who started with messy spreadsheets and ended with clarity. The curriculum isn't about financial theory — it's about building habits that last beyond the course.
Each week builds on the last. You'll start with tracking fundamentals and finish with a personalised budget system that fits your life, not someone else's template.
- Weeks 1-3: Expense Tracking Foundations Learn to track spending without the guilt or overwhelm. We'll show you methods that actually work for busy schedules.
- Weeks 4-6: Category Creation & Assignment Build categories that reflect your priorities. No generic buckets — just what matters to your household.
- Weeks 7-9: Pattern Recognition & Adjustment Spot trends before they become problems. This is where the lightbulb moments happen.
- Weeks 10-12: System Maintenance & Automation Set up routines that keep your budget current without constant manual updates.
Who's Teaching This Programme
Our instructors aren't just finance professionals — they've all been through their own budget struggles. That experience shapes how they teach.
Torvald Ekenberg
Lead Instructor
Spent eight years helping small businesses clean up their books before realising individuals needed the same practical approach. Now focuses on teaching personal finance without the jargon.
Siobhan Quilty
Workshop Facilitator
Former accountant who got tired of telling people what they did wrong. Now shows them how to get it right from the start, with systems that fit real life.
Vesna Todorović
Support Coach
Runs the weekly check-ins where students share wins and roadblocks. Her background in education means she knows how to keep groups engaged and accountable.
How the Programme Works
We've tried different formats over the years. This combination — live sessions, self-paced work, and group support — gets the best results. People stay engaged and actually finish what they start.
Weekly Live Sessions
Tuesday evenings at 7pm AEST. Each session runs 90 minutes with Q&A at the end. Can't make it live? Recordings are available within 24 hours.
Daily Practice Exercises
Short activities that take 10-15 minutes. These aren't homework for the sake of it — they're the actual work of building your budget system.
Private Discussion Group
Connect with other participants between sessions. Share what's working, ask questions, or just vent about unexpected expenses. The community aspect surprises most people with how valuable it becomes.
